Allison Goodwin

Allison first knew she wanted to become a teacher in third grade. Her career in education began in 2014. While obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Allison worked at several different schools in the Pittsburgh area. After graduating in 2018, she continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh to obtain her Masters Degree and become a Reading Specialist for grades K-12. During this time, Allison interned as a Reading Specialist, providing academic interventions using a variety of curriculum models. In addition to tutoring, Allison is currently a kindergarten teacher. As a tutor, she is focused on ensuring that all students develop strong foundational skills, thereby building confidence so that they can readily access increasingly complex material.
