Carolina McVeagh


Carolina’s career in education began in Florida in 2009, where she worked as an in-house tutor at a preparatory school. She tutored math, English and SAT prep to students in grades 6–12. During the 2009-2010 school year, she also taught math and reading to elementary-age students in both group and one-on-one settings. In 2010, Carolina accepted a position as a pre-calculus instructor, which she held in conjunction with her position as an in-house tutor for her final year in Florida before moving to Pittsburgh to follow her own educational goals. Carolina graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2014 before continuing on to California University of PA to pursue her Masters of Arts in Teaching. Throughout her time in Pittsburgh, Carolina has tutored students ranging from middle school to college level. She specializes in creating meaningful connections between content and student experiences.
