Cary Meyers

Cary graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Community and Nonprofit Leadership in 2013. During her time in Wisconsin, she tutored high school students in all subjects and completed Project Grow, an Americorps program focused on early literacy and social emotional skills development with students in preschool. After graduating, Cary moved to Miami where she completed another AmeriCorps program – City Year. During her time with City Year, she provided small group reading interventions to students in seventh and eighth grade. After completing City Year, Cary moved to Denver, Colorado to complete the Rocky Mountain Prep Teaching Fellowship. During the fellowship, Cary worked full time in the classroom under the guidance of a mentor teacher while taking classes to receive her teaching license. Cary continued to work at Rocky Mountain Prep where she taught kindergarten, first, and third grade. Cary loves to help students become critical thinkers and develop a love for learning.
