Evelyn Kruis

Evelyn sees herself as a life-long learner and educator. Growing up in a large family, she helped to educate her seven younger siblings. After college, she taught all subjects in a multi-grade elementary classroom, while tutoring intermediate school students, and supporting high school students in writing college entrance essays. Evelyn’s interest in the effect of social and emotional factors on learning led her to obtain a Masters Degree in Family Education and Counseling.

Evelyn is attentive to the various ways in which children learn, and adapts to specific student needs with empathy and understanding. She supports students to develop executive functioning and organizational skills, while focusing on content. Evelyn believes it is a privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility of educating children, and values the opportunity to continue learning as she teaches others.
