Kayla Welch

Kayla is an experienced teacher and lifelong learner. She currently instructs all levels of grammatical and conversational Spanish at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is completing her PhD in Latin American Languages and Literatures and Social and Public Policy. Something of a Renaissance woman, Kayla worked for two years as a data research analyst at a healthcare and higher education consulting firm in Washington D.C., and enjoys high-level mathematics and sciences. She has experience teaching Spanish to elementary and preschool-aged students at Winchester Thurston School, as well as English as a Second Language as part of the Chilean national program Ingl├ęs Abre Puertas. Through tutoring, Kayla loves working with students to make learning an active process of measureable gains that add up to solid confidence in any subject.
