Leah first became interested in teaching when she shadowed her father as he tutored his Algebra students. Even as a young student, she grew to anticipate how he would break down complex concepts in a way that appealed to struggling learners. After completing her undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics, she worked in finance before going back to school to become a teacher. Now Leah specializes in elementary, middle and high school math, and particularly enjoys helping fill in gaps to help kids meet grade level standards. Her calm, encouraging demeanor gives students the confidence they need to actively participate in tutoring sessions, and her strong relationship with students helps even the most reluctant learners to take academic risks.
Leah is well versed in the Keystone Exam for Algebra and has helped many high school students find success through systematic and engaging instruction.
